Your clue: If the dude on the left were the Pharaoh, the dude on his right might find himself in jail. Until Joseph came to the rescue.

Another clue: The year is 1992. Register your guess as a comment at the bottom of this story, including actors, company and show title.

Your clue was: “Vous appelez cette jolie image?”

Our winner: Karen Slack was first to recognize what she calls “that natty trio of Chip Walton, Jim Hunt and Paul Borrillo” performing “Art,” by Yasmina Reza, for Curious Theatre.

“What good-looking fellas,” she said.

The play was staged in its regional premiere in September 2000, and your director was Nick Sugar, whom Westwor’d Jim Lillie credited for
“eliciting portrayals that blend subtlety with passion, conviction with doubt and humor with pathos.”

Borrillo, he wrote, “brings an abundance of whimsy and gravity to the role of Marc.” Hunt, he went on, “lends ticklish warmth to Serge.” And what of Curious bossman and former thesp Walton? He “renders the waffling Yvan as a charming sort who doesn’t really mean to waffle, but will waffle if waffling seems appropriate.”

Your clue was my bad attempt at making a French pun, a takeoff on “You call that art?” amended to something dumbly akin to,”You call that a pretty picture?” Hey, clever clue-writing ain’t easy.
