Your clue was: “I got nothing for you. I recognize these actors, and I know what the company is, but this was an unmarked photo, so what show is it? You tell me!”

Our winners: Jeremy Cole was first to recognize Beth Malone as Ado Annie in “Oklahoma” at Country Dinner Playhouse. But it was Claud (no last name) who correctly identified Terry Rhoads as as Ali Hakim.

Both were longstanding popular stars during producer Bill McHale’s heyday, and both have gone on to significant careers on opposite coasts. Beth made her Broadway debut in the Johnny Cash tuner “Ring of Fire” (2006), and came thisclose to returning in the stage version of “Sister Act,” which was developed for a Broadway run with Malone playing as Sister Mary Robert, but New York producers never pulled the trigger. After that, Beth starred in “The Break-Up Notebook,” billed as “the world’s first lesbian musical” at the Diversionary Theatre in San Diego. You’ve also probably seen Beth in … every national car commercial ever made.

Terry started with Bill Oakley’s melodrama ensemble at the former Heritage Square Opera House and came to the CDP as a Barnstormer — the actor-waiters who performed the musical pre-show. For years he was the CDP’s leading man in shows like “Fiddler on the Roof” and dozens more.

Terry and wide Lise Simms went to Hollywood where, in 1998, Terry played the leading role in the shortlived sitcom “Living in Captivity” He’s since appeared in TV shows including “Murphy Brown,” “Seinfeld,” “7th Heaven,” “Desperate Housewives” and many others.
