LINCOLN, Neb.—Aaron Pribanic threw a five-hit shutout in Nebraska’s 7-0 victory over Northern Colorado on Monday, becoming the first Cornhusker pitcher since 2003 to pitch consecutive complete games.

Pribanic (2-0) struck out seven, walked none and allowed just two runners to reach third in a 101-pitching outing that helped extend Nebraska’s win streak to nine games.

The last Nebraska pitcher to throw back-to-back complete games was Aaron Marsden in March 2003.

DJ Belfonte went 3-for-5 and scored twice. He tripled in the third, singled in the sixth and belted his first career homer two innings later.

Tyler Farst, Jake Mort and Craig Corriston also keyed NU’s 12-hit attack, as Farst drove in a career-high three runs while Corriston and Mort enjoyed two-hit afternoons.

T.R. Keating (1-2) took the loss for Northern Colorado (5-8).

The Huskers (10-2) wrap up a 10-game homestand on Tuesday against South Dakota State.
