Denver police are investigating the fatal early morning shooting of a man in East Denver.

The shooting happened at about 3 a.m. in the 1300 block of Valentia Street.

Multiple shots were fired, said John White, a Denver police spokesman, and a white station wagon was seen in the area at the time.

Police don’t know whether the station wagon was involved, but they hope the driver may have seen something to pass on to investigators.

Denver homicide detectives were gathering evidence this morning from the front lawn of a white single-story home. The victim’s body was found near the front of the home, lying between a car parked in the driveway and the front door.

Police did not release the victim’s name nor a motive in the shooting.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Denver police or Crimestoppers at 720-913-STOP.
