One-wheeling it

The ninth annual Moab Muni Fest will be Friday, March 30, in Moab, Utah, and will feature trials, demonstrations and trail rides of some of Moab’s most famous terrain, including the Slickrock Bike Trail and Moab Rim Trail. Coordinated rides are scheduled for each day of the event. Participants should be proficient unicyclists and should come prepared with a mountain unicycle with a fat (2.3-inch to 3-inch) tire with mountain-bike-type tread. Elizabeth Gilbert lecture

New York Times best-selling author Elizabeth Gilbert will make a rare lecture appearance in Denver at 1:30 p.m. April 6 at the Paramount Theatre. Flauschink time is near

The 40th annual Flauschink will be April 9-13 in Crested Butte. The event features a slide show by Duane Vandenbusche, a Western State College history professor and authority on Gunnison County and Colorado history; a “Flauschink” tale told by George Sibley, founder of Flauschink and a retired WSC professor; a coronation ball; a parade; and the Flauschink king and queen holding court on the slopes at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
