The Littleton Town Hall Arts Center announced its 2008-2009 season on Tuesday (play descriptions were provided by the company):
The Full Monty, Sept. 19-Oct. 26, 2008: A group of unemployed steel working men decide that regardless of looks or ability they are going to be the best male strippers Buffalo, New York has ever seen. Not intended for anyone under the age of 17.
“Beauty and the Beast,” Nov. 14-Dec. 28, 2008: Be our guest with Belle, Gaston and Lumiere for the action, romance, music and magic of this Disney story for the whole family.
“My Way, A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra,” Jan. 9-Feb. 8, 2009: Great songs combined with witty and charming dialog create an eye-popping and ear-pleasing performance that will leave you feeling like the Chairman of the Board.
“Gypsy,” Feb. 20-March 29, 2009: One of the greatest musicals of all time, based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, a famous burlesque stripper.
“Bat Boy, the Musical,” April 10-May 10, 2009: A dark love story with a serious bite. This delicious twist on the modern day musical comedy/horror tells the story of a half-boy, half-bat creature and his struggle to find a place in a world that shuns him and love that can create both miracles and madness. Not intended for anyone under the age of 17.
“Oklahoma!” May 22-June 28, 2009: Fun, love and romance in the lives of the families living in the Oklahoma territory at the turn of the century.
