DENVER—Colorado Safeway stores have pulled certain fresh and frozen poultry giblets, and fresh carcasses with giblets, from coolers and freezers after an Alabama company issued a voluntary recall.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment says Cagle’s Incorporated of Collinsville, Alabama is recalling about 943,000 pounds of product because it may be unfit for consumption.

No illnesses have been reported.

Cagle’s says the recalled products were exclusively distributed in Colorado to Safeway stores, and a Safeway spokesperson says all of the product has been removed.

The recalled products include 13-pound bulk packages of “Our Premium Deli Pre-Breaded Chicken Livers” and “Chicken Gizzards.” The labels have product code 12210 or 21210.
