Spring-like weather will grace Denver the next few days with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Today’s high temperature in Denver should climb to about 58 degrees and tomorrow will be even nicer, with a high of about 61 degrees, the National Weather Service reports. Overnight lows in Denver this week will be in the mid 30s to upper 20s under partly cloudy skies.
Winds will be increasing in the mountains today and gusts this morning have been measured at 50 mph on peaks above timberline and in the foothills west of Boulder, the weather service said.
Most mountain areas should be cloudy but dry today with a slight chance for snow showers in the northern mountains.
A Pacific front should hit the state on Thursday, bringing snow to the northern and central mountains and then spreading south, according to the weather service.
The Vail forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of snow tomorrow, with up to 3 inches of accumulation, and a high temperature of 42 degrees.
The pattern that hits the mountains on Thursday should bring a slight chance – 10 percent – of snow to Denver Friday night and a 20 percent chance of rain to the city on Saturday.
