Pueblo police are trying to identify a man shot dead at a party early this morning.
About 1:25 a.m. officers went out on a call of shots fired. They found a man shot dead in the chest in an apartment.
Andrew Sandoval, 24, who lives in the apartment, told police he has a party and was attacked by several men he didn’t know.
They left, Sandoval told police, but then the victim returned and tried to resume the fight.
Sandoval told police he shot the man and immediately dialed 911.
Police said in a news release that Sandoval was questioned but not arrested.
They dead man carried no identification, and they are still trying to identify him.
