Apartment Investment and Management Co. of Denver has received the 2007 Communities of Quality Program Award from the National Affordable Housing Management Association. The award recognizes Aimco for having the nation’s highest number of multi family communities that have earned NAHMA’s Communities of Quality certification. Separately, Aimco’s University Square community in Philadelphia was awarded NAHMA’s annual award as the nation’s outstanding affordable-housing development for elderly residents.

Colorado Goldfields Inc. of Lakewood signed a contract with Godbe Drilling LLC of Montrose to resume drilling at the Gold King and Mogul properties in San Juan County. The contract calls for a minimum of 7,000 feet of exploration drilling.

Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants and restaurateur Martin Perkins have announced plans to open Denver’s third Dickey’s Barbecue Pit this summer at 3140 S. Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood. Perkins owns and operates Dickey’s restaurants in Centennial and Littleton.

National CineMedia LLC of Centennial has entered into an agreement with Hollywood Theaters for the presentation of pre-show advertising, meetings and event services, and in-theater entertainment events through its NCM FATHOM division.

Colorado Physical Activity and Nutrition program at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has awarded Denver-based Qdoba Mexican Grill its Smart Meal Seal. The program showcases entrees that are lower in fat and saturated fat and include ingredients such as beans, whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
