GREELEY — A Weld County grand jury Tuesday indicted three people accused of being involved in a mortgage scheme that left “many Greeley-area families in foreclosure, reduced property values of neighboring homes and defrauded lenders,” according to the Weld County district attorney’s office.

The indictments followed a year-long investigation by the DA’s office, said DA spokeswoman Jennifer Finch.

Mark Strodtman of Windsor was charged with a pattern of racketeering, 11 counts of theft of $15,000 or more, and 11 counts of forgery. Nelson Feliciano of Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with theft of $15,000 or more and check forgery, and Flora Carmona of Windsor was charged with theft of $15,000 or more.

Strodtman and Feliciano have agreed to turn themselves in, while Carmona was arrested Monday and posted $20,000 in bond.
