COLUMBUS, Ga. — A former teacher accused of shooting three people at a hospital in Georgia has been charged with murder.

Authorities say Charles Johnston, 63, has been treated for a gunshot wound from police and released to the Muscogee County Jail.

Authorities say Johnston faces three counts of murder and four counts of aggravated assault in the Thursday shooting at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ga.

Police Chief Ricky Boren said Johnston went to the hospital to punish the nurse he blamed for the death of his mother. The shooting victims included a nurse, an administrative assistant and a man getting out of his car.
