Lakewood police arrested a convicted sex offender who fled from a work release program in Weld County, authorities say.
Harry Trujillo was arrested Sunday morning without incident at a home on the 9600 block of West 15th Place, said Deputy Shane Scofield of the Weld County Sheriff’s Department.
Trujillo escaped from a jail work release program on Oct 21, Scofield. He was placed on Weld County Sheriff’s Department’s most wanted list in November.
Weld County detectives received leads that Trujillo was living in Lakewood, Scofield said. Lakewood police watched Trujillo’s movements for several days before the arrest, he said.
