CAÑON CITY — Fremont County commissioners will consider a permit application next month from a firm that wants to resume its search for uranium near Cañon City.
Black Range Minerals of West Perth, Australia, has exploration and mining rights on nearly 10,000 acres about 18 miles northwest of Cañon City. It did exploratory drilling last year with the goal of establishing an underground mining operation.
