Denver Post sportswriters won several awards from the Colorado Society of Professional Journalists at its annual awards ceremony.
Columnist Mark Kiszla placed first in sports features and third in sports columns. Columnist Woody Paige was second in column writing. Scott Willoughby won second in sports reporting. In sports features, Jim Armstrong and Jason Blevins were awarded third place.
The Post sports staff also was awarded first place for its coverage of the murder of Darrent Williams.
