Live Nation isn’t the only company that uses Ticketmaster, but it does employ the ubiquitous company almost exclusively, which makes its hefty service charges a regular annoyance. Take heart: On Tuesday, April 15, only, the national promoter will waive service charges for several upcoming shows at the Fillmore Auditorium and Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, including Kraftwerk, the Raconteurs, Phil Lesh & Friends, George Clinton, Erykah Badu, Feist, Ween, John Legend, Journey, Jonas Brothers, Rancid, Martina McBride, Linkin Park and others. Flight of the Conchords has successfully revived the debatable musical-comedy format with self-aware songs and a dry, indie-oriented HBO series that mirrors the New Zealanders’ deadpan wit. The Chili Pepper & Brew Fest in Snowmass may sport a self-explanatory title, but the annual event always brings quality entertainment to the high country.
