DENVER—Anyone planning to fly on American Airlines today had better check ahead.
The nation’s largest carrier has canceled more than 900 additional flights for Thursday as crews work to inspect and fix faulty wiring in hundreds of its jets.
This marks the third day in a row of mass groundings at American.
The canceled flights include at least 12 arrivals and five departures at Denver International Airport, where American is the sixth-largest carrier.
The airline has now scrubbed more than 2,400 total flights since Tuesday.
That’s when federal regulators warned American that nearly half its planes could violate a safety requirement for wires to be properly bundled to keep them from rubbing together and causing a short, or a fire.
