The bodies are in a grassy area, lying down close together. They were found partially covered in blankets, with a shopping cart nearby.

Police have cordoned the area, and crime-scene units are on site. Officers positioned screens and police cars to block the bodies from the view of passersby.

Both people were male; no further identifying information was available, according to Detective Sharon Hahn with the Denver Police Department.

Officers are canvassing homeless people in the area to help with identification.

No immediate information was available as to cause of death.
