By Sunday night, that 4-under 68 Justin Rose shot to take the lead on Thursday must have seemed like an eternity ago. Rose shot a final-round 76 to finish in a tie for 36th.

This season, Englishman Ian Poulter said he and Tiger Woods would soon be atop the world rankings. Poulter finished in a tie for 25th.
