SAN DIEGO—Garrett Atkins went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and the Colorado Rockies scored seven runs in the ninth inning of a 10-2 victory over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday night.

Troy Tulowitzki snapped out of an 0-for-20 slump with a two-run double and Clint Barmes singled in two more in the ninth for Colorado.

Mark Redman (2-1) allowed two runs and three hits in five innings and four Rockies relievers combined to throw four hitless innings.

Chris Iannetta, who had three hits and scored two runs, doubled in Atkins to put Colorado in front 3-2 in the sixth inning.

Justin Germano (0-1) turned in another terrific start for San Diego, allowing three runs and eight hits in seven innings. He allowed just one unearned run in 13 scoreless innings over his first two outings of the year.

Brian Giles doubled in Josh Bard in the third and drove in Bard with a triple in the fifth for San Diego’s two runs.
