Frontier Airlines launched its new Denver-Colorado Springs flights Tuesday. Frontier is flying the route with its Q400 turboprop subsidiary Lynx Aviation, which launched last year. It is operating five daily flights from Denver to Colorado Springs except for Saturday, when it will have four daily flights.

The Colorado Springs route is Frontier’s first in a series of new routes from Denver to Colorado destinations. Denver-Durango flights will start April 22, followed by Denver-Aspen on April 26 and Denver-Grand Junction on May 1. Frontier is also starting flights from Denver to Fargo, N.D.; Jackson Hole, Wyo.; and Missoula, Mont., and Boze man, Mont., in May, and has not changed its plans as a result of its bankruptcy filing.
