Chili and brew

Snowmass Village announces it lineup for the fifth annual Snowmass Chili Pepper and Brew Fest, June 6-8. Performers include Dr. John, the Neville Brothers, Stephen Marley, Lyrics Born and The Wildbirds. Tickets, $15 to $50, available online. After May 15, tickets will be available at participating City Markets in Rifle and Vail and at local outlets in the Roaring Fork Valley. International Chili Society cooks will vie to enter the world championships, and more than 80 microbrews will be poured for tastings. snow .

Basalt Music Series

The Basalt River Days Summer Music Series features local and regional bands performing pop, rock, jazz, bluegrass and Latino music. Performances Wednesday nights, 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 18 through Sept. 17. Locations are Lions Park in downtown and Willits Town Center. River Days fest

The 11th annual Basalt River Days Festival runs 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 15 and 16 at Lions Park in downtown. Performers include Wendy Woo and the Woo! Band and Big Daddy Lee and The Kingbees; other bands to be announced.
