BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.—Toxicology tests on the body of a New Jersey man found dead in Summit County show he had no drugs in his system and zero alcohol in his blood.

Searchers found 23-year-old Alphonse “Michael” Barbiere of Wyckoff, N.J., dead in the snow in a Breckenridge field April 5. He had last been seen leaving a bar Feb. 8 after going out with friends.

Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson says Barbiere did have an alcohol level of .110 in his urine, which indicates he metabolized any alcohol he’d consumed over a few hours. Richardson says there’s no way of knowing whether his blood-alcohol level was higher at the time he disappeared.

The coroner’s office says Barbiere died of hypothermia.
