Crested Butte could be headed for a reality TV weddingand the sleepy ski town might never be the same.

Word on the street and in gossip columns is that Crested Butte native Heidi Montag, star of MTV’s runaway hit “The Hills,” is planning to make her own reality show with unctuous boyfriend Spencer Pratt.

The New York Post reports that the show would be about their wedding — ” ‘The Hills’ meets ‘Newlyweds.’ ”

And my guess is they’d go to Heidi’s hometown, find a wedding planner, throw the nups and bring a bunch of Hollywood types to town.

And you thought her 15 minutes were up.

Showtime.

Tonight’s the night. Jeffrey Nickelson’s Shadow Theatre opens its new state-of-the-art theater at 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora.

A party starts at 6 p.m. — and Aurora Mayor Ed Tauer and the City Council will be on hand to cheer.

The play, “Dinah Was,” starring Rene Marie, kicks in at 7:30 p.m. to what should be a proud full house.

“I tell you, I got a tiger by the tail,” says founder Nickelson. “It goes from elation to desperation. I just got to get it done. It’s an exciting time and it’s an experience we’ve never had, but the beauty and the power of it is that it can be done, greatly and with integrity.”

So how can he concentrate on directing a play when he’s opening a theater?

“Directing is the easy part,” he says. “That’s the one thing I get. The details — managing the move, the administration — are overwhelming. But there is a calm that’s riding us through that’s going to make it wonderful.”

Look for a feature on Shadow and Nickelson by theater critic John Moore in the Entertainment section of Friday’s Denver Post.

Lawyered up.

Pamela Mackey is on the cover of Law Week Colorado as one of our “Super Lawyers.” And why not? After all, she has repped such bold names as Patsy and John Ramsey, Kobe Bryant (rape) and Don Vito (groping).

On the cover, she’s wearing a Clintonesque pantsuit tarted up with a Superman cape and Wonder Woman gold cuffs. What a screensaver!

“Twenty years ago, I would have killed for that recognition,” Mackey told Law Week.

And you’ll be seeing a lot of Aspen attorney Gerry Goldstein.

He’s the lead counsel to the embattled Texas polygamist sect whose compound was raided. Also, more than 400 of its children were taken into protective custody.
