WELD COUNTY — The State Patrol said one woman was killed and two children seriously injured after their car was hit broadside by a tractor-trailer.
Trooper Ryan Sullivan said 28-year-old Colleen Craig from Eaton died at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. The two children in her car, ages 2 years and 10 months, were airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Aurora.
The accident happened about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Colorado 392 and Weld County Road 35 as Craig was turning onto the highway.
The truck driver was not injured.
