A bill that would get rid of CSAP tests in high school in favor of the ACT and curtail CSAP writing tests got an initial thumbs-up in the House.
House Bill 1357, from Rep. Judy Solano, D-Brighton, was approved on a voice vote.
Solano says Colorado is over-complying with federal testing requirements and says the money saved by streamlining the annual Colorado Student Assessment Program could be put to better use.
