Getting your player ready...

Nuggets coach George Karl confirmed Wednesday that he will return to the Denver bench next season.

Karl has two years and $6 million left on his contract, but he often talked about the frustrations of coaching a team with such strong personalities.

“In general the last couple of years … I think the players have kind of done it their way more often than doing it my way,” Karl said. “As an organization, as a coaching staff, as a team, we’re going to have to address that next year.”

That said, Denver has lost in the first round in each of the past four seasons with Karl, so the coach vows to be more of a disciplinarian.

But, after a 50-season, Karl has expressed that he is optimistic about the possibilities in 2008-09.
