Getting your player ready...

A night after a flurry of injuries left the Rockies shorthanded, infielders Jonathan Herrera and Omar Quintanilla arrived for Wednesday’s series finale against the San Francisco Giants.

Herrera is scheduled to make his major league debut at second base.

Quintanilla will provide insurance off the bench.

Roster spots will be cleared for both when pitcher Franklin Morales is sent to Colorado Springs and Kip Wells is placed on the disabled list with a right-hand injury.

There remains a strong possibility that short stop Troy Tulowitzki will be placed on the DL with a strained left quad.

He returned to Denver this morning for an MRI.

The Rockies won last night 3-2 snapping a four-game losing streak.

A look at Wednesday’s lineup:

CF Taveras

1B Helton

LF Holliday

3B Atkins

RF Spilborghs

C Ianetta

SS Barmes

2B Herrera

P Jimenez
