CENTENNIAL, Colo.—Arapahoe County prosecutors have rested up their case against a man accused of killing two people, including a witness who was scheduled to testify against him.
Sir Mario Owens could face the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder in the June 2005 shooting deaths of Javad Marshall-Fields and Vivian Wolfe.
Marshall-Fields was to testify against Owens and another man in a separate shooting death. Wolfe was Marshall-Fields’ fiancee.
Prosecutors wrapped up their case on Friday afternoon. It’s not known how long the defense will take.
Owens was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole in the shooting case in which Marshall-Fields was expected to testify.
