International travel by Coloradans will increase by as much as 3.6 percent this summer, according to the first-ever summer forecast by AAA.
The travel organization expects 508,000 Colorado residents to travel internationally this summer. Last summer, 468,000 traveled outside the U.S., including to Canada and Mexico.
The report estimates these international travelers will spend $622 million in foreign countries in June, July and August. That’s a 7.2 percent increase in estimated spending compared with last summer.
