Two women waiting for friends outside an Aurora bar early Sunday were wounded when a shootout erupted.

Police haven’t identified the victims and are seeking the public’s help in tracking the shooters.

Gunfire broke out as the women were sitting in a car about 2 a.m. outside La Sierra Bar and Grill, 2045 N. Clinton St.

“There is no indication that this is gang-related,” said Aurora Detective Shannon Lucy.

Each woman was shot in the upper torso and hospitalized. One was in serious condition Sunday, and the other was stable.

The suspects, who are thought to have been in separate pickups, were probably coming from the bar themselves, Lucy said.

Police are looking for two Latino men, one of them in his mid-20s, with a medium build, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and last seen wearing a black or brown jacket.

He was driving a white over tan late model Ford F250 extended cab or four-door pickup with dark-tinted windows and stock wheels.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and tan cowboy hat.

He was driving a late model Ford F150 or F250 pickup with chrome over the wheel wells and a chrome gas cap on the driver’s side.

The Aurora Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information in the case.
