DENVER — A Utah delivery man is taking his claim for a share of Howard Hughes’ estate to a federal appeals court in Denver.
The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals scheduled a hearing Wednesday on Melvin Dummar’s decades-long battle for $156 million.
He says Hughes left him the money in a handwritten will.
Dummar says the money was his reward for rescuing the billionaire in the Nevada desert in 1967.
In 1978, a Nevada jury said the handwritten will was bogus.
Dummar has been in federal court, fighting to overturn that finding.
