Tonight. Kids’ art looks great on the fridge, but Boulder-based Parascript thinks it can do more than decorate the kitchen. The company hosts its seventh annual Children’s Art Exhibition tonight, a kid-friendly benefit for Voices for Children CASA. Boulder County kids submitted artwork to display at the event, and to illustrate items for sale. Proceeds from the art-filled calendars and day planners go to the children’s advocacy group. Parascript, which calls itself an image analysis firm, will match all funds raised from the sale and other donations. Free ice cream will be on hand, along with other light refreshments. 5-7 p.m. tonight. Parascript, 6899 Winchester Circle; 888-772-7278). Free.

Saturday. Count ’em: The 2008 Erie Town Fair has two balloon launches. Two. So if you miss the first grand ascension at 6 a.m. Saturday, you’ve got another chance 24 hours later. The two launches are the bookends for a full day of Erie-centric activities, from helicopter rides at the Erie Municipal Airport (395 Airport Drive) to a good, old-fashioned street festival in Erie’s historic downtown. A beer garden, barbecue and bands are a few of the other festivities planned. Visit for a full schedule of events. 6 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Many activities at Coal Creek Park, Cheesman and Kattell Streets, Erie. Free.

Saturday-Sunday. Greater Tuna isn’t great at much. The “third-smallest town in Texas” is filled with hilarious characters, though — all of them played by two actors in the play, “Greater Tuna.” The popular comedy began a short run at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center on Thursday, with three more shows this weekend. Be prepared to meet some of the town’s rural denizens, like Petey Fisk, the man with a duck problem, and Pearl Burras, baker of deadly dog biscuits. 8 p.m. Saturday, noon and 5 p.m. Sunday. Pluss Theatre at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, 350 S. Dahlia St.; 303-316-6360. Tickets are $10 general admission, $8 for students, seniors and children.

Sunday. Unlike the chanting children in Pink Floyd’s “The Wall,” the students at the Paul Green School of Rock needed an education — a rock ‘n’ roll education. They’ll be showing off their new skills on Sunday when they play “The Wall” in its entirety at the Toad Tavern in Littleton. The students, ages 8 to 18, are all practiced and ready to wail. Get ready to raise some devil horns. Noon and 4 p.m. Sunday. The Toad Tavern, 5302 S. Federal Circle, Littleton; 303-795-6877. Tickets are $10 and are available in advance at King Soopers TicketsWest outlets. The 4 p.m. show was almost sold out at press time, though, so act fast.

Tonight. Turn off the cellphone, slow down your brain and settle in for an evening of old-school entertainment when storyteller Odds Bodkin performs tonight at Boulder’s Chautauqua. Called “a consummate storyteller” by The New York Times, Bodkin accompanies his globe-hopping tales with guitars, harps, drums or whatever else suits the story. 7 p.m. tonight. The auditorium at Chautauqua, 900 Baseline Road; 303-442-3282. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, students and seniors.
