The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman found beaten to death in her Lakewood home Friday.
The body of Kathryn T. Young, 32, was discovered when police were called to investigate an odor coming from her apartment in the 600 block of South Reed Street.
She died from her injuries and blood loss, the coroner said.
Lakewood police are seeking Young’s husband for questioning. Police would not release the husband’s name, however, saying he has not been charged with a crime and that no warrant has been issued for his arrest in the death investigation.
Police said they do not believe Young’s death was a random crime.
