Members of the Teamsters Union at Frontier Airlines issued a statement Wednesday criticizing the carrier over its negotiations for labor concessions as it seeks to cut costs during bankruptcy. The Teamsters said Frontier is seeking to create a “golden parachute” for top executives while asking rank-and-file employees to accept wage cuts.

Frontier spokesman Steve Snyder would not comment specifically on the Teamsters’ allegations but said negotiations are ongoing.

The airline has come to tentative terms on wage and benefit reductions with the pilots and Transportation Workers unions.

The reduction plan includes all non-union employees and executives, Snyder said. Elizabeth Aguilera, The Denver Post
