Rob Perlman is leaving his six-season post as president of Colorado Ski Country USA, heading up to Ski Town USA to be vice president of sales and marketing for the Steamboat ski area.

Perlman started with Ski Country in summer 2002, following a ski season rocked by the 9/11 terrorist attacks, economic uncertainty and fickle snowfall. Courting out-of-state vacationers, Perlman was able to boost skier visitation to record highs. Last season, skier visits climbed to a record 12.57 million.

The 2007-08 season will fall slightly short of that mark but will remain above the 12 million mark first set under Perlman’s watch in 2006-07.
