Call it one of those serendipitous events that comes once in an angler’s lifetime. Craig Bradler doesn’t care.
“It was really exciting,” the Castle Rock resident said of his May 2 connection with a 37-pound lake trout at Blue Mesa Reservoir.
After a round of unsuccessful trolling, Bradler was reeling in his lead-core line in about 20 feet of water when the 43-inch fish smacked his white Flatfish lure.
