Aurora homicide detectives are investigating a murder that happened at 4 a.m. on the 15400 block of East 13th Avenue, police say.
Police found a man in his mid-30s, who had been shot multiple times in the upper body, just outside an apartment, said Detective Shannon Lucy, spokeswoman for the Aurora police department.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 5 a.m., Lucy said.
Authorities are not releasing the victim’s name pending notification of family.
Police are interviewing witnesses and preparing search warrants, Lucy said.
There is no suspect information available, she said.
The Aurora Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the identification and charging of the suspect.
