LOS ANGELES — The stars aligned over the weekend for marriage. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are newlyweds, as is actress Loni Anderson, 15 years after divorcing Burt Reynolds.
Pop star Simpson and Wentz, the Fall Out Boy bassist, tied the knot Saturday at her parents’ Encino, Calif., home, according to People magazine. Father Joe Simpson performed the nondenominational ceremony, and sister Jessica was maid of honor, the magazine said. People reported that Simpson, 23, and Wentz, 28, are expecting a child.
Meanwhile, Anderson, 62, was married Saturday to Bob Flick, a member of the 1960s folk group the Brothers Four, in Bel Air, Calif.
The couple met at a movie premiere in her native Minneapolis in the 1960s. A local newspaper had sent her out to pose with Flick’s group as the “lucky young fan,” an image that was used as the couple’s wedding poster. The Associated Press
