Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver, right, “is calling on the group Roman Catholics for Obama ’08 to convince Sen. Barack Obama to become pro-life, instead of overlooking his support for abortion,” according to the Catholic News Agency. In a Web column about that subject and his own political involvement, Chaput recalls being “an active volunteer” on Robert Kennedy’s 1968 campaign and supporting Jimmy Carter’s presidential campaigns.
