Kaiser Permanente plans to add up to 200 jobs in the state next year with the opening of a national customer-service division.
The health-care giant will relocate a portion of its Consolidated Service Center operations to Colorado from Fort Worth, Texas. The center is responsible for administrative processes such as enrollment and premium billing for five regions: Colorado, Ohio, Georgia, Hawaii and the Northwest.
Kaiser said it selected Colorado over several other locations because of Denver’s “strong labor pool, central geographic location and a large and growing . . . membership base in the state.”
“Kaiser is one of the region’s 10 largest private employers, and its continued expansion here is significant news for the region’s economic growth,” said Tom Clark, executive vice president of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp., in a written statement. Kimberly Johnson
