A Kiowa teenager died Tuesday night after a one-car rollover accident on Colorado 86.
Mickie Kraft, 17, was pronounced dead at about 9 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol said in a news release.
Kraft was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Passat westbound on Colorado 86 at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday when the car ran off the road.
She overcorrected, the patrol said, drove off the other side of the road and rolled 1.5 times.
Kraft wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car.
She was taken to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, where she later died of her injuries.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as contributing factors.
