In the dead of night thieves stormed a construction site in Evans, making off with more than $100,000 in equipment and materials, police said.

Sometime between 11 p.m. on Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday “a number of individuals” drove onto a construction site of a Sam’s Club, 3247 23rd Ave., and stole multiple items including a 16-foot flat bed trailer, two electric welders, two all-terrain vehicles, a Honda generator, tools and cooper pipe worth $35,000, Evans police said in a press release.

The total value of items stolen is about $100,000, police said.

Anyone with information on the stolen items or the thieves is asked to call Evans police at 970 339-5344 ext. 153 or ext. 147.
