COLORADO SPRINGS — A man and woman were killed Sunday morning after their motorcycle collided with an SUV.
Mitchell Corso, 20, and Christian Vanderwege, also 20, were not wearing helmets when the bike they were riding slammed into a Ford Explorer as it made a U-turn in the Village Seven neighborhood in the northeast part of Colorado Springs.
The motorcyclists, both residents of Colorado Springs, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officer Corey Thompson with Colorado Springs police said alcohol was not a factor in the accident, but the speed of the motorcycle was.
