EADS — The Colorado State Patrol has released the name of a Texas man killed in a crash outside Eads in southeastern Colorado.
Troopers say Sharath K. Chandragiri, 24, of Arlington was driving a car that was trying to pass a tractor-trailer rig Friday on Colorado 287 when the car struck an oncoming minivan.
Two of his passengers, Samarth Sampige and Pourna C. Narayana-Reddy, were in critical condition Sunday. Both men are 24 and of Arlington. Another passenger who died after the accident has not been identified.
The crash also killed 75-year-old Jack Dewey and 65-year-old Shirley Dewey of Englewood and seriously injured Rosalee Malaby, 87, of Glenwood Springs. The Deweys and Malaby were in the minivan.
