STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo.—The search is still on for a twin-engine plane reported missing.

The Civil Air Patrol has one fixed wing plane and a helicopter searching the area around the Yampa Valley Regional Airport and Steamboat Springs. Routt County Search and Rescue says that radar contact with the plane was lost Sunday.

The plane left Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden at about 8 a.m. Sunday for Fort Collins but did not reach its destination.

Search and Rescue spokesman Scott Havener says two people were on the plane.
