A U.S. Bankruptcy Court Trustee has filed an objection to Frontier Airlines’ proposal to offer a severance package to senior management employees.
The trustee said the plan violates bankruptcy regulations because it is not applicable to all employees and because Frontier has not proved that the amount of severance pay conforms to regulations.
The Frontier plan would apply to 65 employees at the director’s level or higher. Benefits would range from about $50,000 to a maximum of $144,180. A hearing on the plan is scheduled for Tuesday.
