George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic might just be the Grateful Dead of the funk circuit — and not simply because Clinton invites Jerry Garcia comparisons with his iconic stature and occasional drug troubles. (Think heavy touring.) Saturday at the Fillmore. $25.
White Rabbits are helping keep indie rock dance-worthy, adding scraps of driving, worldly rhythms to their melodic vocals, guitars and keyboards. Saturday at the Bluebird Theater with Blue Million Miles and Pop Wreck. $11-$13.
I Sank Molly Brown enjoys the odd distinction of making its CD release show its last live outing. The Denver band plays the Larimer Lounge on Saturday with Brookyln’s Pela and locals Astrophagus and LMNOP. $8.
Erkyah Badu will keep the Fillmore hoppin’ with neo-soul and hip-hop tracks from her latest disc, “New AmErykah, Pt. 1: 4th World War,” Monday with the Roots. $43.50-$46.
