BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.—A man who died after falling about 100 feet while hiking with friends is being identified as a 2007 graduate of Summit High School in Breckenridge.
Summit County coroner Joanne L. Richardson says 19-year-old Michael Henthorne died Wednesday after falling at the Mohawk Lakes trail, about 10 miles south of Breckenridge.
Summit County Rescue Group spokesman Joeben Slivka says the man’s friends called authorities about the fall Wednesday afternoon.
Slivka says he didn’t know how the man fell.
Rescuers had previously identified the victim as an 18-year-old man.
