Denver-based ProLogis is planning a new industrial park at Stapleton.

On 76 acres at the intersection of East 56th Avenue and Havana Street, Stapleton Business Center North will include five buildings totaling 1.2 million square feet when it’s complete. Construction of the first phase of 350,000 square feet will begin later this year.

The business park will be the first distribution center in Colorado that is certified for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. ProLogis will use many recycled and local construction materials and install an energy-efficient fluorescent lighting system.

ProLogis is the world’s largest owner, manager and developer of distribution centers. The publicly traded company operates in 121 markets in North America, Europe and Asia. It has $38.8 billion of assets owned, managed or under development. Customers include manufacturers, retailers, transportation companies and third-party logistics providers.
